Hi, I'm John – and I'm thrilled to share our home with you while my family and I embark on a journey through Europe. This is a temporary listing, as we’ll be returning at the end of the year, so you’ll be staying in a space that’s truly lived-in, loved, and thoughtfully designed.
Our home is more than just a place to sleep – it’s a haven that has brought us comfort, joy, and serenity. You’ll find personal touches throughout, from custom features to cozy nooks, all created with care and intention. We kindly ask that you treat these elements with the same respect and gentleness we do.
Because we have a young child, the home is fully baby-proofed – making it a safe and welcoming space for families traveling with little ones. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, we hope our home offers you the same warmth and peace it has given us.

You'll enjoy easy access to nearby parks, local shopping and dining options. The area is ideal for families, professionals, and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with a strong sense of community. Whether you're taking a stroll around the circle or relaxing in the backyard, the neighborhood’s calm vibe and friendly neighbors make it feel like home.
This location offers both comfort and value. It’s a place where you can settle in, unwind, and enjoy the best of northern Illinois living.

Free parking on-site. Easy access to major roads including Alpine Road and North Second Street. Downtown Rockford is 10 minutes by car. Chicago O'Hare Airport is 90 minutes away. Rockford City Lines provides local bus service, and rideshare services are readily available.

Check-out time is 11 am (unless otherwise approved).

Our Core Value is to be a good neighbor and comply with all local regulations. Therefore, all guests MUST agree to the house rules before/during their stay as this is a residential neighborhood.

Verification and security deposit

All guests are screened through our partner, Autohost — government photo ID, a selfie, and a payment card in the guest’s name.

A refundable security deposit is required. It is separate from your nightly rate, is collected by us before arrival, and is returned in full after checkout. The amount is shown at checkout.
Verification is completed after booking, and your check-in details are released once it’s done.

MAIL & PACKAGE DELIVERY
We discourage direct delivery to the building/apartment. It is recommended to make use of a nearby pickup/drop-off location to guarantee receipt of your mail/package.

We are glad you are considering staying at our home. Our goal is for you to have a 5-star experience with us. We have a dedicated team ready to serve you.

Other things to Note:

• Absolutely no smoking; there's a $100 penalty fee for removing smoke detectors.
• No weapons, firearms, drugs, or illegal sexual activity of any sort allowed.
• Violators will be reported to police and the contract will be terminated immediately.

• Please note guests staying longer than 28 days will be responsible for paying utilities used during their stay.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties and smoking anywhere on our premises. All our units come equipped with noise sensors. While we do not anticipate the need, following multiple warnings, we will utilize local law enforcement to ensure compliance. Should removal be required, it will be done at the guest's expense.

🗑️ Trash Collection Schedule & Holidays 🗑️
Regular Schedule: Trash pickup is every Friday morning. Please place bins at the curb on Thursday night for collection.

Holiday Adjustments: If Friday is a holiday, trash pickup will be delayed by one day (Saturday instead of Friday).

If your checkout falls on Saturday after a holiday, please help by moving the bins to the curb before leaving.

⚠️ Important: If the holiday falls on a weekend, trash pickup stays on the regular Friday schedule with no delays.
